We don't inspect roofs from the ground with binoculars. We get on the roof. Every inspection includes a full walkthrough: shingle condition, flashing integrity, pipe boots, ridge vent, soffit ventilation, gutter function, and visible attic moisture signs. You get photos and a written report.

Fallen tree damage requires immediate structural assessment before tarping. If a tree has displaced rafters, cracked a ridge beam, or pushed through ceiling joists, the structure is compromised. We assess from both exterior and attic, coordinate with structural engineers or framing contractors when needed, and tarp only areas that are structurally stable enough to support the tarp hardware. Insurance claims for tree strikes require separate line items for tree removal, structural repair, and roofing repair. We document each scope independently.

VELUX FS (fixed) and VS (vented) skylights installed with EDL flashing kits for shingle roofs. The multi-step flashing integrates with the surrounding shingle courses per IRC R903.2. We frame the curb with doubled 2x8 or 2x10 lumber (depending on rafter depth), install ice and water shield membrane around the entire curb perimeter, then set the skylight with factory sealant before weaving step flashing into the field. Top headwall flashing tucks under the upslope shingle course. Bottom sill pan diverts water onto the downslope shingles. Zero exposed sealant joints. Mechanical flashing only.
